By booking any service with Soham Cargo, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any booking. These terms govern the relationship between Soham Cargo and its customers.
A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the advance payment and written confirmation from Soham Cargo. Verbal agreements are not considered binding. All bookings are subject to vehicle and staff availability. We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your preferred moving date.
All quotations provided by Soham Cargo are valid for 7 days from the date of issue. Quotations are based on the information provided by the customer at the time of enquiry. Any changes to the scope of the move (additional items, change in floor or access conditions, additional distance) may result in revised pricing. We will always inform you of any changes before proceeding.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled move date will receive a full refund of the advance payment. Cancellations made within 24–48 hours may incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the advance amount. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the move may result in forfeiture of the advance payment. Rescheduling is permitted with at least 48 hours notice, subject to availability, without additional charges.
Customers are responsible for: providing accurate information about the goods to be moved and access conditions at both locations; ensuring that all goods are accessible and ready for packing on the scheduled date and time; disclosing the presence of any hazardous, fragile, or high-value items; ensuring adequate parking for our vehicles at both locations; being present or having an authorized representative present during pickup and delivery.
Soham Cargo will not transport the following items: hazardous materials, flammable or explosive substances, illegal items or contraband, perishable food items (for inter-city moves), live plants (for inter-city moves), cash, jewelry, or items of extraordinary value without prior written agreement and appropriate insurance arrangements.
Soham Cargo takes every precaution to prevent damage to goods. Our liability for damage is limited to goods that are properly packed by our team. We are not liable for damage to goods packed by the customer, normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, damage resulting from inherent defects in the goods, or damage caused by acts of nature. Transit insurance is available and strongly recommended for all valuable goods.
Estimated transit times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to road conditions, weather, traffic, vehicle breakdowns, or other circumstances beyond our control. Soham Cargo is not liable for losses or damages resulting from transit delays.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from services provided by Soham Cargo shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Kolkata, West Bengal.
